Chapter One. 

The Full Sun

Your smile is a little misleading
Your eyes seem to always be full of love.
And if I connect all the dots on your face,
Maybe that's how we'll both fall in love. 

We're a million miles apart,
And yet I can only think of you.
I'll hold close to my heart,
The sunflowers that you drew. 
And when I look up at the Sun,
I'll only think of you. 

The colours yellow and orange,
Seemed to never catch my eye.
They always seemed too strong,
And now I think I know why.

I was lost in this dark world,
Not knowing where to go.
Then I followed a voice,
And went with the flow. 

When all the world's problems,
Seem to fall on my shoulder.
I hear your voice from a distance,
Singing songs and lifting the boulder. 

The road never seemed to be filled with flowers,
And everything seemed to be against my powers.
Until I heard your siren call,
That was when I knew I must fall.

Into the Wilderness

Love.
It was like wildfire,
It started out with an ember of your love.
Burned everything.
And left nothing
But ashes in the form of painful memories. 
------------------------------

Kingdom Come

And just like that
She went back to the Kingdom
A winged creature.

Recently, I have been going through writings and drawings which I had done in the past and I thought since this is my space I would share it through a new series called 'Cottoned'. As I was making the cover picture, I first thought of a name for this series as 'Cotton Candy' because it reminded me of cotton candy, however, I didn't want to name it 'Cotton Candy'. Suddenly, I thought of the word 'Cottoned' and once I looked for the meaning of 'Cottoned', it made me like it more and gave a much more significant meaning which was exactly what I was looking for.

I hope you enjoyed the very first chapter of the series. I know that they're not exactly chapters like in novels but to me, the writings and drawings are from different chapters of my life and hence why I call made them 'chapters'. 🦋😊

P.S the drawing from the beginning is not the final version of the cover picture which will represent this series. I'm experimenting a little more to the kind of style I want to go with.

The power of our thoughts can be equally astonishing and dangerous. Our thoughts are so vast, we have many cognitive processes and the environment also plays an important role in influencing our thoughts.  There are 14 qualities we possess which makes up our mind power and the power of thinking.
