Trigger Warning: ABORTION. These are my personal opinions on the topic, I am in no way saying that abortion has only one choice. It is completely up to the perspective and choices of the person in question.   Pro-Life or Pro-Choice?  When talking about abortion, people are either pro-life, pro-choice or are stuck in the in-between. Personally, I am pro-choice and the post may seem a little biased but I will try to consider both sides before concluding. According to the article (attached at the end of the post), there are many viewpoints in terms of abortion. It is an endless debate with no right answer.  The Perspective of Pro-Life. Usually, those who fall under this category think that discarding of the foetus is wrong because it is a human being and has developed life. There is no such way of knowing whether or not the foetus wants to be discarded or to continue to live. They think that the foetus is innocent and defenceless.  It is also believed that by carr...

Philosophy of Life Reading the words, "What is your philosophy of life?", made me really think hard about what exactly is my philosophy in life and whether or not it was actually my philosophy or another person's philosophy which was instilled in me. I started wondering about things I've done in life and the experiences I've had, something which was constant with me, something I truly believed and I realized I did have a strong belief. It could very well be considered as a philosophy which is "don't judge people or things in general, based on what you have heard from someone else." I truly value and believe in this and try my best to remember this when certain difficult situations arise in life.  Recently, I have been trying to have a spiritual awakening and find my path to God. Religious beliefs always play such an important role in a mundane's life. Religion influences us from when we are born and gives us a window of perception. I was ...

Her theory criticizes the depiction of women in media and how they are viewed by men and how they are forced to be viewed by the audience. In her essay, she writes about the different possible pleasures and where she suggests the destruction of pleasure and how that is a radical weapon. Mulvey not only suggests eradicating pleasure which may only be seen as sexual and bring in a new form of pleasure which can be relatable to all kinds of audiences.  This blog post is written based on my opinions and how I perceive the films. It may differ from person to person but this post is to solely criticize and interpret the films based on Laura Mulvey's ...

Today's Topic: I will be questioning the meaning of the word 'Existence' and what it means to us. Get ready for a lot of questions and confusion but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.  'Existence' in itself is a very large word with millions of meanings. To simply put it, 'Existence' is a way of living. We think we exist because we are alive. However, even those who are no longer here with us still exist within our mind because they are retained in our memories. Even in the books we read, the things we study we know a person or event has existed because of the stories that have been passed on through the years.  Although we know we exist, we still ask ourselves, ‘ Why do we exist? ’ Humans are curious in nature. We question the little things even though there are bigger and more important things in life. We tend to focus on matters which are inside our own little bubbles, not focusing on the big picture. Of course, there are in...
